Premium exterior painting done right the first time
Houston exteriors take a beating — humidity, UV, hurricane-season rain, and the occasional freeze. A premium exterior paint job has to start with the right prep and the right system, or it'll fail in three years instead of fifteen.
PaintLux exterior projects always begin with a soft-wash to remove mildew and chalking, full scrape-and-sand on failing paint, caulking on every joint, and a bonding primer on bare wood or stucco. Only then do we apply two coats of premium exterior acrylic or elastomeric — the system Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore actually warranty in Gulf Coast climates.

Exterior Painting FAQs
How long does exterior paint last in Houston?+
A correctly prepped and primed exterior in Houston should last 7–12 years on wood and 10–15 years on stucco or fiber-cement. The biggest factor isn't the paint brand — it's the prep.
What's the best exterior paint for Houston weather?+
For wood and fiber-cement: Sherwin-Williams Emerald or Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior. For stucco: an elastomeric coating like Sherwin-Williams SherLastic. Both handle Houston humidity and UV.
Do you pressure wash before painting?+
Yes — every exterior job includes a soft-wash or pressure wash. Skipping this step is the #1 reason exterior paint fails early.
Can you paint in Houston humidity?+
Yes, but we watch the dew point and avoid painting right before a heavy rain. Most exterior projects run March–November to stay inside good paint conditions.
Will you repair rotted wood and stucco cracks?+
Yes. We carry carpentry and stucco-repair tools on every exterior job. Small repairs are usually included; larger replacements are quoted as a line item.
